About the Event
Tinsaye celebrates the Resurrection of Christ and concludes the Easter fasting season. Holy Week observances lead towards the Easter celebration, with prayer, light, liturgy and shared meals. Ethiopian Easter falls on 2 May in 2027; agree the local programme before offering participation.
For: Church communities, pilgrimage leaders and travel organisers planning a reflective Holy Week and Ethiopian Easter programme.
Planning Your Participation
- Agree a receiving community and a programme suited to your group’s faith tradition, interests and mobility.
- Allow time for Holy Week preparation and agree suitable participation in the Easter observance.
- Discuss respectful dress, photography, walking, crowd conditions and participant support with local hosts.
How We Support You
- Plan Holy Week attendance, the Easter vigil and meals after the breaking of the fast with your hosts and group leader.
These are programme-planning options, not an official organiser itinerary. We agree the scope, feasibility and quotation with your team.
